You do not want to have your indoor air quality compromised as a result of a dirty duct system. A lot of time is spent in your home, which is why it’s so important that the air you breathe in your home is fresh, clean air.

Every time your heating and cooling systems run: dust, pollen, dirt, animal dander and plenty of other airborne contaminants are pushed into the air cycle. With time, the continued accumulation of these airborne particles makes your duct a perfect breeding ground for bacteria, mildew, fungus and other microorganisms.

According to the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) you should have your ducts cleaned at least once every three years to determine the flow of clean air within your home. The association recommends that the cleaning be carried out by reputable and certified HVAC professionals.
